Salimia said that rehabilitating water systems and greenhouses, ensuring sustainable agricultural inputs, and renovating damaged equipment could support agricultural recovery, including parts of Gaza where safe access is possible. Salimia also proposes joint research, technical change, and training programs between universities, agricultural institutions, and cooperatives, which aim to improve water efficiency, improve food processing industries, and support agricultural projects run by women and young people.
Salimia also called for the creation of reliable buyers, fair prices and long-term purchase agreements in Malaysia, especially for Palestinian products, including olive oil and palms. Salimia said that Palestine produces more than 28,000 tons of dates, saying the partnership should cover Palestinian institutions and local producers, based on clear goals and transparency.
