Lut explained that logistical problems in the Black Sea have reduced Russia's grain shipments to Egypt. Lut said Russia is ready to meet the amount of grain Egypt needs for food security, reporting that 1.6 million tonnes of grain were sent to the country during the season which began on 1 July 2026.
